Schutzhund gradings

 

 

The following explains the scores and the descriptions given during Schutzhund trials.

 

 

 

 

in any given exercise is described as

0 to 35  %

"Insufficient”

Ungenügend

36 to 69 %

“ Faulty”

Mangelhaft

70 to 79 %                   

“Satisfactory”

Befriedigend

80 to 89 %                   

“Good”

Gut

90 to 95 %                   

“Very Good”

96 to 100%                   

"Excellent"

Consequently this means with an overall score out of a possible 300 points:

 

0 to 105 points:

Faulty

106 to 209 points :

Insufficient

210 to 239 points

Satisfactory

240 to 269 points

Good

270 to 285 points:

Very good

286 to 300 points

Excellent

 

 

A  minimum score of 70% ( Satisfactory Grading ) is required to pass each discipline ( Track, Obedience, Protection)  all 3 disciplines must be passed for a Title to be awarded. ( ie :  min 3 x 70 points=210 points)

 

With regard to “Fighting Spirit the only possible scenarios are:

Present

vorhanden

Insufficient

nicht genügend

 

In the event of a dog not releasing the bite after 3 commands the protection work is  terminated ( irrespective of the stage of the routine ). NO FIGHTING SPIRIT IS AWARDED – Remark in the score book is :” Dismissed from trial”.
